I’m Roman Čierny and family photography is my specialty. In Brno and the surrounding area I photograph families, children and newborns in a reportage-style approach — without forced posing and with an emphasis on real emotions, laughter and small everyday moments. I’m an extrovert who enjoys working with kids — I know how to engage them, get them moving and find those spontaneous moments that look natural and beautiful. At the same time I have a sensitivity for light, color and retouching, so the final images have a distinctive color grading and subtle editing that enhance the atmosphere without heavy-handed manipulation. How I work: I want you to feel comfortable. We often go for a walk, play, chat, and I use that time to look for moments — gentle touches, genuine smiles, interactions between children and parents. If you’re unsure how to stand or what to do with your hands, I’ll offer gentle guidance that keeps the images natural and joyful. I know every family is different — and that’s what I love most about this work. I specialize in classic family photography, including children’s portraits and newborn sessions. I also have experience photographing christenings, first communions and birthdays — always with the family’s comfort and a smooth flow in mind. If you’re interested in maternity (pregnancy) photography, we can include that as an add-on, though my main focus is family and child portraiture. We choose the location together — I enjoy discovering hidden spots around Brno or adapting to places that hold special meaning for your family.
