I’m Jiří (Jiri) Urban and family photography is one of my favorite specialties. With more than fifteen years of experience in the field, I know how to create situations where families feel relaxed, natural and pressure-free. Because I care about genuine moments, I don’t prefer forced poses — I’d rather invite you for a walk, start with a conversation and let you be yourselves. The result? Photos that breathe emotion and that you’ll return to with a smile. I specialize in family photography in Brno and the surrounding area, but I’m happy to travel anywhere across the Czech Republic. I work with families at all stages — from photographing young children and newborn sessions to maternity portraits and family celebrations such as christenings, holidays and birthdays. I know how to work with the smallest children, how to manage the dynamics of a larger family, and how to capture tender moments between generations. My approach is simple: a relaxed atmosphere, patience and a good eye for light. Most sessions take place outdoors in nature or at favourite public locations around Brno, where natural light and the setting help create authentic images. On request I also photograph at home or in a studio — I always adapt the location so it works for both children and adults. Working with me is personal. Before the session we’ll calmly discuss your ideas, I’ll suggest locations and small tips that help ease the mood. During the shoot I won’t force artificial smiles — instead I look for spontaneous moments, playful interactions, hugs and subtle gestures that say more than any pose. After the session I take care of careful editing and prompt delivery so you can enjoy your memories as soon as possible.
