My name is Pavel Šrůtek and family photography is my passion. Based in Řepy, Prague, I create images that families keep as memories of important life moments — from maternity shoots through newborn and children photography to family portraits and celebrations such as christenings or birthdays. My work combines sensitivity to natural expression, portrait direction and technical experience to produce timeless, authentic photographs. Why choose me: I photograph people for people — not for effects. I have more than ten years of experience photographing families and newborns. I prepare the studio to ensure safety and comfort (newborn sessions are always handled with maximum respect for the baby’s needs). I prefer calm, conflict-free sessions: we discuss details in advance, I recommend suitable locations (studio or outdoor spots around Prague) and on the day I leave room for spontaneous moments that often make the most natural images. My approach is focused on natural expressions and sensitive use of light. For larger families I combine candid moments with directed portraits to capture relationships between family members. For newborn photography I work gently, using methods that soothe and protect the baby while creating soft, aesthetic images you will enjoy for years. How we work: first we briefly discuss your ideas and I recommend style and location. On the shoot day I aim to create a relaxed atmosphere and work at a patient pace. After the session I carefully select and edit the images so you receive a curated collection of beautiful portraits. In addition to digital files, I offer professional printing, wall art and photobooks — all available directly from the studio if you want a family print for your wall or a keepsake book. Photography for me is not routine but responsibility — I’m happy to help you create images that become lasting family heirlooms.
