My name is Jana Semotová and under the Photo Janka brand I focus primarily on family photography in Cheb and the surrounding area. For me, family photography is not just a technical record — it is an opportunity to preserve the atmosphere of relationships, the small moments between parents and children, and the important milestones in a family’s life. I work with a strong sensitivity to color and light; my images are often vibrant and full of atmosphere, while I also appreciate the quiet beauty of black-and-white photography. I specialize in family and portrait photography, giving particular attention to children and newborn photography. When working with the smallest clients I always prioritize safety, patience and naturalness — we plan the timing and flow of the session so children feel comfortable and genuine moments can emerge. I also photograph important family events and celebrations such as christenings, first communions and birthdays — always aiming to capture the emotions and atmosphere that make each occasion special. My approach is personal and relaxed. Before a session I like to talk about your expectations, clothing and the location where you feel best — whether that’s my studio in Cheb or an outdoor setting depending on the season. During the shoot I gently guide families, suggest simple poses and playful activities that help everyone relax, and thus capture natural expressions and spontaneous moments. After you choose the photos, I devote careful attention to creative editing — basic retouching, color grading and subtle skin smoothing so the final images retain both adult and childlike charm.
